Queuers
This guide is for the queuer assigned to one arena.
If you want a one-page handout for event day, use the Queuers Card.
Your job
Your job is simple and important: know who is next, find them, and bring them to the correct arena on time. You do not control the official arena timing in ASJudge. The facilitator does that.
What you will see
After login, you will land on the Queuer Dashboard. That page shows your assigned arena number, the team active in your arena, the next team to grab, a short upcoming list, queue and arena times, and status labels such as Grab Now, Upcoming, Done, and No Show. You will not see timing buttons.
Understanding the times
The queue and arena times on your dashboard are live estimates. They can shift as facilitators log real starts and ends, so it is best to trust the order shown on the dashboard, refresh often, and stay in communication with your facilitator.
Before the event starts
Before the event starts, log in and confirm your arena assignment, review the first few teams in your list, and coordinate with your facilitator about when you want teams physically nearby.
Your basic loop
Your basic loop is straightforward: look at Next Team To Grab, go find that team, tell them which arena they need and how soon they are up, bring them toward the arena, then return to the dashboard and check again.
What to tell teams
Keep your instructions short and clear. Something as simple as "You are next for Arena 2," "Please come with me now," or "Stay nearby until the facilitator starts your run" is usually enough.
If a team is missing
If a team is missing, check the nearby pit area, ask another volunteer if they have seen the team, and tell the facilitator quickly if you still cannot locate them. From there, follow the facilitator or lead's next instruction rather than deciding on your own that the team is a no-show.
What not to do
Do not make schedule changes yourself, do not operate a facilitator account for convenience, do not camp on one team so long that you stop tracking the next queue call, and do not rely on memory when the dashboard is already giving you the live order.
