Introduction

The Aerospace Jam is a competition for high school teams across Wisconsin to use drones on a NASA-inspired simulated mission that changes every season. The program is co-sponsored by the NASA, the Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium, and the Milwaukee Bucks. Our goal is to recruit students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels and cultivate a welcoming and inclusive event that will foster meaningful interactions among teammates and teams.

You don't need any technical experience or previous robotics experience (e.g. in FIRST® or Vex® programs) to compete in Aerospace Jam - we give you all the tools you need to succeed, and guide you step-by-step through all electronics and code you'll need to compete.

To lower the barrier to entry, competing in Aerospace Jam is 100% free to all teams. In contrast to other competitions, where you could end up spending hundreds of dollars on an entry-level kit, Aerospace Jam is a completely level playing field monetarily. This is only possible due to our very generous partners - thank you all for supporting us here at Aerospace Jam!

You don't technically have to read through all this documentation, but if you do, it'll give you a much better idea of how to go about competing in this year's season. I promise it isn't too long!
