This is a list of awards you can win on competition day, and what goes into deciding their winners.

Team Grand Award

This award is given to the team with the best overall performance across all scoring categories.

Scribes Award

This award is given to the team with the highest score in the Engineering Notebook category. It recognizes exceptional documentation, storytelling, and a commitment to detailing the engineering journey from start to finish.

Performance Award

This award is given to the team that achieves the highest day-of performance score, combined between the Sensors and Reconnaissance category and the FAA Rules and Navigation category.

Best in Design Award

This award is given to the team with the highest score in the Design Scoring category, recognizing excellence in drone construction, codebase elegance, and base station user interface design.

Team Grand Congeniality Award

This special award is given to the team that receives the most points from their peers in the Congeniality Bonus voting. It celebrates sportsmanship, helpfulness, and a collaborative spirit.

Henry Martin Award

The Henry Martin Award is a prestigious recognition presented by the judges to the judges' choice of the best team in the competition, taking into account various aspects beyond performance and technical skills. This award is named in honor of Henry Martin, a distinguished individual known for his contributions to the field and embodying qualities of excellence, professionalism, and dedication.

Judges evaluating teams for the Henry Martin Award consider a wide range of criteria, including teamwork, sportsmanship, innovation, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and overall professionalism. The award recognizes not only the team's technical proficiency but also their conduct, attitude, and interactions with others throughout the competition.

The team that wins the Henry Martin Award will be given a special trophy for each team member, up to five members.
